Raghava-Yadaviyam is a unique Sanskrit poem that tells two distinct narratives through the same verses. It recounts the story of Bhagavan Rama (Raghava) when read conventionally from left to right (anuloma). Conversely, reading the verses from right to left (pratiloma) unveils the tale of Bhagavan Krishna (Yadava) and the Parijata-apaharana incident. This makes it a palindromic or reversible poem, essentially encapsulating two epics within a single composition. This extraordinary linguistic and devotional masterpiece is brought to life by Smt. Visalakshi Sankaran, whose profound knowledge and insightful instruction illuminate the poem's intricate layers. The course Raghava-Yadaviyam offers a systematic and engaging study of this literary gem, revealing the poet's mastery and the depth of Sanskrit poetics.
